Building site
The news that Felix is JJ's dad (subject to a DNA test confirming it) is slowly starting to sink into the lad although he wants to know why Felix himself didn't say something. "Only he can answer that," Cara tries to explain then almost admonishes JJ for being worried about Felix especially as Remi reminds him, "he involved you in a serious crime."
JJ: But I wanted to do it. It wasn't all him.
The chat is interrupted when Cara gets a call - it's the lawyer recommended to them. While Cara chats to Matilda, Remi reassures JJ that they will support him "but it's time to face the music."
Park somewhere
Felix texts Jools to come and pick him up.
(Later)
Jools finally arrives but it's a trap - moments after she arrives so do Erinsborough's finest and Felix is lifted.
Hospital
Andrew is regretting inviting Felix to come live with them but Wendy isn't letting him take all the blame, she was the one who convinced her hubby to give Felix "a second chance."
WENDY: No, seriously, everything that has happened it's on him, it's not on us Andrew.
Andrew hopes Remi and Cara see it that way too as doesn't want things to blow up between them again. "Not when it looks like we're family now!" Wendy points out and wonders how JJ is taking the news.
Moments later, Andrew gets a notification that Felix has been arrested.
The Waterhole
Over drinks, Byron and Holly are both down in the dumps over their respective love lives - Holly, despite what Felix has done, admits she finds him hot whilst Byron also admits that he still wants to be with Sadie… if it weren't for her dad "making it so tough."
Since Byron is still carless until he replaces the tyres, Holly offers to be his chauffeur if he will help her buy a car from the $20k she's managed to save up whilst working.
Number 32
Haz listens in via his dodgy spy software as Holly and Byron chastise whoever it was that made the video of Jane. It is a good thing he was listening via headphones so his visitor (Melanie) didn't hear what he was up to… even if she literally scared the bejesus out of him as he didn't hear her enter the house! Turns out she was round to see Krista but as she is out, Melanie heads off as quickly as she arrived.
While Melanie was briefly there, she also handed over an unmarked envelope that was left on the doorstep to Haz (she didn't want it to blow away). The envelope contained a pen drive and he puts it into his laptop to see what it contains - what comes up on the screen is a dancing and laughing skeleton with his face on it. A message also appears saying 'Do your neighbours suspect you yet?' Haz isn't happy and angrily pulls the pen drive out of the computer and throws it towards the utility room.
Hospital
Before going to speak to Andrew, Terese catches Karl to tell him that she hopes to use him as a good selling point for Eirini rising and to help restore the stability of the development. To aid that, she plans on doing a professional photoshoot, putting Karl on the cover of the new prospectus and buying advertising space all over the town!
TERESE: So you are gonna be on bus stops and billboards.
KARL: So, I'll literally be a poster boy!
Karl seems delighted at that the prospect of being "famous" and goes off to let Susan know the good news!
Police station
JJ is finished at the station for now, he will give a full statement later when his lawyer is present.
Lassiters Complex
As JJ and his parents exit the station they pass Felix who is being frogmarched into the station.
Number 28 (backyard)
"I'd be starting to take that personally," Holly comments to her dad after hearing Susan is going to be away for another week! He isn't too despondent over how long Susan is away, in fact he is using the delay to prepare for the photoshoot.
HOLLY: I say this with nothing but love and kindness in my heart but you might wanna invest in a bigger cycling outfit!
Karl is confident he'll lose the extra kilo's soon enough so his cycling outfit is a bit less snug and finds a willing partner in Melanie, who thinks sorting out her health would be a good place to start re- evaluating "every part of my life." Despite what she has just said, Melanie doesn't look too keen on going for a bike ride now with Karl using Susan's bike!
Number 32 (garden)
Haz comes out to the garden and finds Byron looking at the fence. Turns out that Byron saw someone watching him, and it wasn't Vera like Haz suggested (because she'd perve on Aaron!) but rather some unidentifiable bloke who took off after Byron yelled at him. The news of this 'visitor' has Haz shaken.
Police station
Jools is explaining to Felix how the police caught him - the police visited her place as they knew he tried to rob the construction site and [the pair of them] were planning to take off together. Given Andrew (and Wendy) walk into the station, she suspects that it was him who told his colleagues!
When the brothers speak, Andrew can't believe that Felix had the balls to ask "why couldn't you keep quiet?!"
ANDREW: I don't even know where to begin with you Felix. You tried to rip off one of our friends.
WENDY: You got your brother hurt and I will never forgive you for that!
ANDREW: And all of your lies about JJ.
FELIX: He knows I'm his dad now, right?
ANDREW: Yeah, but you don't even care, do you?
Felix tries to explain that is why he did the robbery - to make some cash to get away from JJ "so I don't mess him up like I messed up." As far as Andrew is concerned, he's already messed JJ up by getting him involved. "That wasn't the plan," Felix protests but Andrew no longer believes what Felix is saying.
ANDREW: I saw what my family could have been, and we're close than we had been in years Felix. I gave you this huge opportunity and you just blew it all up.
Felix tries to respond but Andrew has had enough.
ANDREW: I don't trust you anymore. We don't trust you. You destroyed that trust Felix. I never wanna see you again.
Harolds café
As they take a break from cycling, Melanie apologises to Karl for how unfit she was although he's looking at the positives in one of their stops beside a billboard - being able to envisage how he will look "up there minus the bloat and the double chins!"
After placing their order with Haz, they head over to speak to Holly. She shows her dad the car she has purchased but from the look on his face, she can tell he hates it. Karl doesn't think a "two- door convertible" is practical and Melanie adds in that it wouldn't be "particularly safe" either if she were to have an accident. Haz (when he returns with the drinks for Melanie/Karl) reminds Holly that she wanted a blue or green car and this one she's bought isn't.
HOLLY: How do you know that?
Thinking quickly, Haz replies that she told him that. Holly is sure she never talked cars before with Haz, so he now tries to suggest she "probably forgot." Everyone looks confused following that exchange and after Haz leaves, Holly asks "what's up with Haz?"
BYRON: Ever since his place got trashed, he's been acting like a bit of a… I mean, you see, kind of snappy.
Melanie adds in that she's "noticed this too" and goes on to tell them about how Haz "jumped through the roof" when she called round to #32 earlier.
MELANIE: He's definitely on edge about something.
Ramsay Street
As they arrive home on the street, Remi is talking about the DNA test with JJ and that they can do it without seeing Felix. JJ wants to see his father, "I have a right to see him" plus he has questions that neither Cara nor Remi can answer. Going diplomatically, Cara isn't sure a meeting can be arranged, but JJ literally begs his mum to find out if it's possible.
Harolds café
Nervously Haz takes a look at his laptop when he gets a notification - Byron was right, someone was spying on him as Haz can now see the photos that were taken. There is a message too - 'I'm always watching' to which Haz replies 'What do you want? Money?' but before we see the response, the laptop is quickly closed because Holly has entered the kitchen.
"What do you want?!" he angrily says to her and she asks is "that the way to talk to someone doing a welfare check?" Holly expands by saying she isn't the only one to have notice he hasn't been himself lately, "it's like you're always stressed about something." Haz's explanation is that he has "a business to run" which means "bills and responsibilities." Those things aren't new, so she wants to know "what's changed?"
HAZ: I don't know. I guess people I thought were my friends are now talking behind my back.
HOLLY: Haz, we're worried about you.
HAZ: Worry about yourself and get off my case!
Number 28
"I needed that!" Holly tells her dad after she gets a laugh out of one of the practice poses he has done ahead of the photoshoot when she arrives home.
KARL: What do you think of it?
HOLLY: You look like someone who's just farted in a lift!
Terese doesn't exactly look too comfortable being at the house when she calls by to check on Karl's schedule so the photoshoot can be locked in. Indeed, she doesn't even enter the house, content enough to stand at the doorstep while Karl goes to get his schedule.
Police station
Remi takes a big deep breath before going into the room where Felix is located, Andrew has "pulled some strings so I could have a word." Felix confirms to Remi that his statement makes it clear that what happened was down to him, "and I coerced JJ." She's pleased to hear that given he "prayed on an impressionable boy who was just looking for a connection" and despite knowing JJ was his "biological child, you were still fully prepared to leave the country and leave him in the dark."
REMI: And that's why I don't want JJ to have a relationship with you. The way that my son feels about you breaks my heart. You are not worthy!
FELIX: (nodding) You're right. He needs to forget about me.
Felix agrees he won't agree to meet JJ, even if the lad asks, as he gets "that it's for the best."
FELIX: But just for the record, I'll never forget him.
Ramsay Street/Police station
As JJ stands pondering outside the front door of #30 and Felix from the room he's being held at in the station, we see some flashbacks to the bonding the pair had during their brief time together.
Ramsay Street
JJ rushes towards the car when Remi returns, wanting to know if she's seen Felix and what he said. When Cara joins them, Remi breaks the news that Felix won't see him. JJ looks stunned and wants to know if she played the 'dad' card.
REMI: I did. He said you should forget him and that it's for the best.
Cara tries to comfort her son but JJ leaves to be by himself. Instead she comforts an upset Remi.
Number 28
Holly is still in a mood after what Haz said to her when she went to check on him and the lack of ice- cream to cheer her up isn't helping! That though is the least of her worries after she gets a notification from her bank to inform her that her card has been declined and on further investigation, the $20k she had saved up has gone!
Harolds café
Unlike Holly, the audience know exactly where her $20 has ended up - in Haz's bank account!!
