- Jay says he didn't think Hendrix had his license. Hendrix replies that he still has 'wicked skills'.
- Pierce says his marriage to Chloe is over. Hendrix is shocked.
- Shane realises he needs to work on his own issues before he and Dipi can work on anything together.
- Pierce tells Dipi that he cares about her very much, but he loves Chloe.
- Sheila tells Roxy they need to do something about Bea and Levi.
- Levi tells Nathan he should try again with Bea. Nathan wonders why he'd say that seeing as he's also into her. Levi says Bea likes Nathan.
- Sheila tells Nathan to stay away from everyone, especially Bea and Levi.
- Nathan gets his foot caught in some wiring and the equipment knocks him over.
The Waterhole
Kyle and Sheila try to help Nathan but Levi appears and tells them to get out of the way. Kyle tells Levi what happened before calling an ambulance. Sheila panics, telling Levi that she didn't want to hurt him.
Number 30
Mackenzie is talking to Jay about Richie. She says he's posted three times on Instagram already this morning. Jay asks what he's been posting.
MACKENZIE: Food. Food. And a ferret on a lead.
Shane smiles. Dipi arrives to see Mackenzie, checking in on how she's doing. Mackenzie says she's doing ok and thanks Dipi, who says she'll whip up some comfort food. As Dipi goes into the kitchen, Jay and Mackenzie plan to cheer up Hendrix after finding out that Chloe and Pierce are getting a divorce. Shane overhears and looks triggered.
SHANE: Did you know about this?
DIPI: (awkward) Yeah, I'd heard.
Lassiters Hotel (exterior)
Pierce runs into Hendrix and Harlow and asks if he can have a quick word. He tells Hendrix that he's moving to Sydney and is going to drive up tomorrow to make a few plans. He wants him to come too. Hendrix is adamant he won't, but Pierce doesn't feel he can be left in Erinsborough on his own, especially after he drove off in his car for an unlicensed road trip recently.
HENDRIX: If you wanna move, go for it. I'll roll solo at Number 24.
Pierce looks unhappy about Hendrix's response.
Erinsborough Hospital
David tells Sheila and Levi that Nathan is definitely concussed and they're doing a CT to check for anything else like swelling or bleeding. He also says a fracture isn't out of the question. Sheila and Levi both look very concerned, before he goes to call Bea and tell her what happened.
Number 32
Pierce has just told Chloe that he's moving to Sydney which has come as a bit of a shock as she's still getting her head around the divorce. He says it makes sense after all the pain he's caused in Erinsborough and he'd like a fresh start. She comes round to the idea, but wonders what he'll do about Hendrix. He says that he offered Hendrix the chance to come with him but he's dead against it. Pierce just wants to find a way for things to work for both of them.
CHLOE: Well you know I'm here for that too. None of this is his fault. How do you want to handle packing up the house?
Pierce nonchalantly says he'll sign the house over to her. She thanks him, but he mentions that Hendrix has somehow got it in his head that he's going to stay there too. He says that if she's not happy with that, he'll arrange somewhere else for Hendrix to go.
Harold's Café
Harlow and Hendrix talk about Pierce's move. She's surprised it's all so sudden but Hendrix says this is typical of his dad. She wonders if he should consider moving with him and not just write it off entirely, causing him to jokingly ask if she's looking for a boyfriend upgrade. She says the warranty on this one hasn't quite expired.
HENDRIX: And now, with the place to myself, we have more space for us.
HARLOW: You're not asking me to play house with you, are you?
HENDRIX: All I'm saying is a drawer for your belongings could be found...
A policeman enters Harold's and tells Hendrix that they've had a tip off that he went for an unlicensed drive. Hendrix tries to act smart as usual before the policeman asks him to accompany him to the station.
Erinsborough Hospital
David returns with results of Nathan's CT scan; he's only got a concussion and the scan came back clear. However, he'll still be in hospital for a few days. As David leaves, the Cannings look relieved.
SHEILA: I put a man in hospital.
KYLE: The same man who put Levi in hospital.
LEVI: Hey gran, why would you go and get up in his face anyway?
Sheila explains that she just wanted Nathan to leave them all alone so Levi could be with Bea.
KYLE: I tried to warn Roxy. When you meddle, you go way too far.
SHEILA: Because I care.
KYLE: I'm heading home.
LEVI: Because you care, gran. That's always your excuse. I specifically told you to stay out of this. But you didn't listen. You never do.
Sheila looks upset.
Harold's Café
Hendrix tells Jay and Mackenzie that he had to come clean to the police about the unlicensed road trip because too many people knew about it. They wonder who gave the cops an anonymous tip off. Hendrix thinks it could be his dad but Harlow's not convinced, thinking he wouldn't have done it anonymously.
JAY: You're about to have a fully-furnished place to yourself, when can I pencil in the party?
HENDRIX: That is an excellent question!
As they get carried away with their party plans, Harlow tries to rein them in, before Chloe appears.
CHLOE: I wanted to see how you were, I didn't expect you to be so chipper.
HARLOW: We are just discussing Hendrix's new house situation.
HENDRIX: Yeah, I'm shortlisting friends to move in.
Before Chloe gets to properly break the bad news to him, the policeman appears again, telling Hendrix that he's likely facing a fine and a license ban.
HENDRIX: And, that's it?
CONSTABLE RODWELL: Depends on your judge.
Constable Rodwell leaves and Hendrix says he's relieved as things could have been much worse. Chloe says they need to speak to Pierce about this.
Erinsborough Hospital
Levi returns with some coffees for him and his gran, apologising for earlier.
LEVI: I might've made my peace with Nathan but I can't force you to do the same.
SHEILA: Still, I need to learn I've gotta stop sticking my nose in.
LEVI: That's gonna be a long work in progress.
Sheila tells him that he must have inherited some of her traits, as he's like a dog with a bone as far as Bea and Nathan are concerned, convinced that they should be together. He tells Sheila that he got hold of Bea and told her what happened to Nathan; she's getting the first flight home so he thinks he was right, she's totally hung up on Nathan.
The Waterhole (exterior)
Pierce tells Hendrix that he'll obviously be back for the court date.
HENDRIX: As a witness for the prosecution?
CHLOE: ...Can we discuss your living situation, it's a bit more pressing.
HENDRIX: Why is that a 'we' conversation?
PIERCE: Because I've signed the house over to Chloe.
HENDRIX: I'm ok to stay though right? I know you're done with him but I didn't cheat on ya. And the roommate thing was just an idea. You and me is totally cool.
CHLOE: I just need some space from that place right now.
Chloe suggests that Hendrix leaves so she and Pierce can talk about things. After he leaves, Chloe tells Pierce that Hendrix is expecting him to pay for the fine. Pierce says if she's not happy for Hendrix to stay, he'll find an apartment for him.
CHLOE: I feel like I've gone back in time here, you guys are right back to square one.
PIERCE: Well he's gotta live somewhere.
CHLOE: Well he also has to learn responsibility. Isn't that what you've been trying to teach him?
Pierce looks frustrated, knowing Chloe's right.
Erinsborough Hospital
Sheila's goes to see Nathan. She asks if he's ok to talk and he laughs, saying she should maybe keep things to small words. She apologises, saying what happened was an accident, and the only reason she was so vociferous was because she wanted Bea and Levi to get their act together. Bea arrives and overhears the conversation outside.
NATHAN: For the record, I'm not trying to screw Levi over. He was the one that went out of his way to try and patch things up between me and Bea.
SHEILA: Well that's a classier act than I am. Maybe you both are.
NATHAN: Bea...what are you doing here?
BEA: Um, Levi called me. I was in Sydney and got a plane back.
Sheila offers to leave them alone to talk. Nathan is touched that Bea cut her holiday short to come and see him in hospital. He asks how long she had been standing outside and she admits she overheard him telling Sheila that Levi wanted to patch things up between the two of them.
BEA: So that photo you sent of you two together.
NATHAN: That was his idea. He called me, he wanted to catch up, but he spent the whole time talking about you. He doesn't want to be the reason you and I don't have a shot at getting together.
Bea looks confused.
Harold's Café
Dipi gets a text from Pierce. It reads: 'Let's talk soon? I'm leaving Melbourne'. She looks conflicted. Shane appears, asking if she's got time for a chat. He takes a seat and mentions Chloe and Pierce's divorce, wondering what that means for Dipi.
SHANE: Does Pierce being single again change things for you and him?
DIPI: No...it doesn't. He and I...it's in the past. Nothing more will ever happen between us...ever.
SHANE: (hesitates) Thanks for being honest.
He gets up to leave and Dipi looks conflicted.
Number 26
Sheila tells Kyle that Nathan was really nice to her at the hospital about what happened which makes it hard to not like him.
SHEILA: I feel even worse.
KYLE: Hm, about which part? The interference, the judgement or the hospitalisation?
SHEILA: Ok, I get it, I was out of line.
Dipi arrives home. Sheila and Kyle carry on talking, saying that they should leave Bea and Levi to sort things out on their own, but Kyle jokes that his gran will have nothing to spend her time on now! Dipi sits down and says maybe Sheila can use her time to help her fix her life. She asks what's happened.
DIPI: Pierce is leaving town.
SHEILA: (hesitates) Well, I think Pierce leaving town could be a good opportunity, I mean it's gonna give you and Shane the space and the time to work through everything.
Once again, Dipi looks conflicted about that prospect.
Number 30
Jay and Mackenzie tell Shane that Pierce is leaving for good. He admits that he won't miss the bloke.
JAY: It'll totally smooth the way for you and mum getting back together.
SHANE: Come on mate, it's not like she's gonna be jumping straight back into my arms...still, it can't hurt my chances, once I've sorted myself out.
Jay then makes a proposal; he'd like to transfer back to Erinsborough for his final year of school. Shane looks elated with the idea, saying that it would be great if they could potentially have all the family together this Christmas.
SHANE: Things are looking up!
They all smile.
Erinsborough Hospital
Bea approaches Levi as she speaks to Terese on the phone. After she hangs up, she tells him she's got her gig back at The Waterhole and he's thrilled for her. He asks how Nathan is and she replies that he's doing well. Levi says it's good that he dropped by even if it did end up with him being injured. Bea admits that she knows Levi invited Nathan and was trying to set them up, but Levi points out that he wasn't trying to push her into anything; he just knew she wasn't happy to end things with Nathan.
LEVI: I just know you.
BEA: Really, how?
LEVI: You're tougher than anyone realises. And sweeter than most people deserve. You've been hurt, Bea, badly. So you do everything you can to protect those around you.
BEA: Wow, ok...
Bea looks touched by his words.
LEVI: Anyway, that's how I knew that you weren't too happy about ending things with Nathan.
She awkwardly agrees and says she should go. Levi looks deep in thought.
Erinsborough Hospital
Bea and Nathan are hanging out in his hospital room. She asks him why his family haven't come to visit and he replies that they've got kids and double shifts so he didn't want to be any hassle. He tells her not to feel obliged to stay, but she says she's happy to. He smiles.
BEA: But if you're keen to get rid of me (laughs)
NATHAN: Yeah. I mean the awesome company and the steady supply of snacks is really annoying.
BEA: Alright well, angry silence and stale toast coming up for you (laughs)
Levi peers through the door and sees Bea and Nathan laughing together. He enters the room and asks if Bea wants a lift home but she says she's going to stay until visiting hours finish. Levi looks a bit peeved and leaves. Nathan picks up on the tension.
The Waterhole (exterior)
Hendrix returns for another chat with Pierce and Chloe.
HENDRIX: Well, this is fun. Being sent away and then summoned back like a human yoyo.
PIERCE: We've gotta get some ground rules straight.
CHLOE: Are you gonna play enforcer while he goes off and plays bachelor.
Pierce says again that he wants Hendrix to come with him, but Hendrix continues to reject the idea.
PIERCE: Then you're on your own. Which means you've gotta find a place to stay, you've gotta find a job to pay for the rent and you've gotta take care of that fine.
They continue to bicker.
PIERCE: Actions have consequences, you've gotta take responsibility for those.
Hendrix is unsurprisingly triggered by this. He stands up and blasts his father for his words.
HENDRIX: Responsibility! Seriously? You've never made a promise you haven't broken! You said to me that we were gonna be a family! You vowed to be faithful to Chloe, you moved us into that house and you swore to me dad! You swore to me that that was gonna be our home!
PIERCE: Well I didn't mean for things to go south.
HENDRIX: No, you don't mean anything!...you decided to take care of me after 17 years...but you don't care!
CHLOE: He does care Hendrix, that's why he's doing this.
HENDRIX: No, Chloe. He's doing this because he's the worst father in the world...
He looks at Pierce.
HENDRIX: I never need to see you again.
Hendrix storms off. Pierce and Chloe look concerned.
Coming up on Neighbours
- Nic tells Audrey it's only a matter of time before people find out about things because she can't keep her mouth shut.
- Karl and Susan discuss whether Audrey has an agenda, saying as far as they know Toadie has no idea about the donation.
- Roxy asks Kyle what he's going to do about Bossy. He says he really wants the chance to say goodbye.
