Ramsay Street
Shane thinks that what Andrea told Sonya sounds very farfetched and Sonya thinks Andrea is simply staying true to form by causing trouble... but does wonder if she is telling the truth.

SHANE: Don't go there, the woman is a liar. I wouldn't be surprised if this was her twisted way of getting back at you after you convinced her to give up custody of Hugo.
SONYA: Yes. Yes, she just has this way of worming herself into my head.
SHANE: Yours and Toadie's.

Shane asks if she is going to tell Toadie and Sonya feels she has to, but not yet. "I agree," Shane replies especially as worrying about this isn't good use of her energy. She plans on telling him after they get home and will speak to Mark too, to see what they then do.

Number 24
Mel protests to Chloe that her ruthlessness didn't extend to setting fire to the garage, especially as Bea almost died in it.

MEL: Now I might be ambitions, but I'm not a murderer.
CHLOE: I'm not saying you knew she was in there.

Mel reminds her that it was ruled an accident, and wants to know where this idea has come from, demanding to know if this is some sort of "loyalty thing to Elly?" Chloe explains that after Aaron mentioned the power board, it just seemed too much of a coincidence. "I don't like having to do this," Chloe tells her and with the waterworks starting, Mel replies that she's already "jumping to conclusions because of what I've done in the past."

MEL: Like I haven't changed. And I get it, I do, but you have got to know how much I want us to work but we don't have a chance if we don't trust each other. Now, I will always have your back, always, but I need to know that you've got mine.

"I always have," Chloe replies, and Mel would like them to forget about it, so they can move on, however thinks it might be better for her to stay at a hotel tonight.

MEL: We're fine, we're good, it's just that you know it hurt, so maybe a night apart would be good.

The Waterhole
Bea has some happy news to share with Ned - Lucas is giving the garage a stay of execution until the final report comes in from the police although there is no guarantee that he still won't yet sign the paperwork to sell the garage. Ned is confident he won't sell but Bea isn't counting her chickens.

Number 30
The Rebecchi's are more than grateful to their employees for stepping up and helping them - Gary is going to take on more managerial roles at the nursery and Piper for sorting out some client issues at the law firm.

SONYA: We need all the help that we can get at the moment and just, we're both incredibly grateful, so thank you.

Number 24
Elly is filling Aaron in on their theory of how the fire started at the garage and he thinks if it's true, then the lass is "uber crazy!" "There's nothing crazy about Mel, she is pure calculation, that's what makes her so dangerous!" Chloe chips in seconds before Mel arrives at the house. Chloe is surprised to see her and likewise Mel is surprised to see her bag packed!

At this point Elly and Aaron decide to make themselves scares to allow the two of them to talk in private.

CHLOE: This isn't going to work Mel, I don't trust you.
MEL: But we're good together. You don't still think I started that fire, do you? Because you know as well as I do that was ruled an accident, that's what the police are saying.
CHLOE: (interrupting) I can tell when you are lying.
MEL: Well then you obviously don't know me well enough! Look, I can see that you're confused, okay, but you don't honestly want to throw us away. I love you. Maybe more than anyone else ever will.

"Don't start with the mind games," Chloe warns but Mel pleads that she is being genuine and ultimately, she will need someone to look after her. "I have my family," is Chloe's reply, which Mel twists to say they won't be there for her in her hour of need because they'll all have their own families.

MEL: Do you really think they're going to be there for you the way you need them to be?

Chloe isn't falling for it and tells Mel that its over and plans on telling the police what she did. Mel's parting gift is to call Chloe deluded if she thinks she can crawl back to Elly.

MEL: Enjoy your short lonely life because no one is ever going to want you.

Number 30 (next day)
Sonya is having trouble focusing, so Toadie steps in and gives his wife her meds and mentions its something they need to let Dr Goodwin know about at her appointment today.

Lassiters car park
Elly spots Mel walking to her car (with her bag) and can't resist getting a dig in about her being used to skipping town. Mel explains that Chloe made it clear she wasn't welcome anymore and Elly wants her to visit the police to confess before hopefully never seeing her again!

MEL: Trust me, the feelings mutual!
ELLY: Trust! Trust is not a word you get to use Mel. My sister could have died in that fire that you started. And Chloe, do you have any idea how messed up she is because of you!

Mel protests its Elly that messed her up, she loves Chloe, but they never stood a chance because of their "close friendship". Elly isn't taking it and warns Mel to stop playing the victim because she is "no more than a manipulative liar!" Mel takes great offence at being called a liar!

MEL: If I am a liar, then what are you?! I'm not the one keeping secrets from my fiancé. You kissed his sister, something that I could still tell him.
ELLY: Yes, you could, if you wanted to destroy her relationship with Mark on top of everything else you've done. You know what she's up against. If you love her the way you say you do, then for the first time in your life, just do the right thing!

Number 30
Jade finishes the packing as they make arrangements for getting to the beach hut - Jade is going to take the kids up while Toadie and Sonya will follow them up a couple of hours later once they've been to the hospital.

At this point, Callum and Nell come through and Sonya goes over to chat with Nell, telling her to look after Hugo and they will be joining her soon. The lass heads over to help Jade, leaving Sonya to chat with Callum. She begins by telling him to have fun, which he knows he will because he is going to the beach!!

SONYA: I love you. You're the best son a mother could ask for and you're such a wonderful big brother and I'm just so proud of you, okay.

"Yes, I know I'm pretty great," Callum acknowledges before hugging his mum and indicating to Jade and his siblings that it's time to go. "Have fun, we'll see you soon," Sonya says as the quartet make their way out of the house having exchanged farewells with each other.

Hospital
Jade and the kids have made it to the beach as Sonya shows Toadie the pics that Jade took while they wait to see Dr Goodwin (she's already had her MRI scan). Sonya admit that she is glad Callum and Jade are here, despite the circumstances of why they are back.

Sods law time, the doctor is ready to see Sonya but Toadie has gone to get her a tea (she was complaining of feeling nauseous) but rather than wait for him to return, she (and Dr Goodwin) head off to the doctor's office.

Number 24
Chloe is blocking Mel (again) on social media as Elly tells her about seeing Mel and her rush to skip town

CHLOE: She's got the Houdini act down pact.

Elly volunteers to accompany Chloe to the station but she's phoned in already to report all she knows. "You must think I'm so stupid falling for Mel again," Chloe wonders especially after Elly got the bad vibes straight away.

CHLOE: I should have listened.

"You can't blame yourself," Elly reassures her with, she was simply looking for the best in Mel.

ELLY: Mel is an expert con-artist, she even sucked in Paul Robinson!

Aaron picks the wrong time to come into the kitchen as he looks over to the livingroom and sees Elly giving Chloe a hug as she is clearly upset over what has happened.

Hospital
Sonya's appointment has finished as we see the doctor accompany Sonya back to the waiting area. We don't hear what was said during the appointment, other than what the doctor is saying now.

DR GOODWIN: It's a lot to take in and you and your husband will have plenty to talk about but please don't hesitate to call me day or night.

Sonya give the doctor her thanks and they say their goodbyes when Toadie finally arrives back with her tea! Sonya explains to him about having already see the doctor as she was early and he asks, "what did she say?" Sonya explains that as she thought, the side effects were down to the chemo but there isn't anything they can do. He makes her comfortable on the seats to drink her tea to allow him to go get the car.

Lassiters car park
Aaron and Elly make their way back to the car after being on a run to Harold's for supplies. Naturally they chat about Chloe and Elly admits that it wouldn't feel right given what's happened between them, for her to be the one to look after Chloe but Aaron is the one that promises to be there for his sister.

Hospital
Sonya is sitting staring into space (she looks stunned) and the K's run into her, with Karl asking if she's been for a check-up. Quickly coming back with it, she explains her surprise at seeing them in the hospital and Toadie joins them as Susan explains that they are there to hear how her MS trial went. "Good news?" he asks, and Susan asks he keeps everything crossed! Sonya zones out momentarily as Karl suggests coming over for another pizza evening before coming back with it to agree to the dinner date and everyone saying their byes to each other.

Number 30
Shane and Dipi call round to hand over food supplies for Toadie and Sonya to take with them. They say their byes to each other and a promise to catch up when the holidaymakers return.

While Shane and Dipi were round and they were chatting about the food and making memories, Sonya started to get quite emotional. "What?" Toadie asks when they are alone, and Sonya shakes her head before replying that she is "soaking you in."

SONYA: I love ya.
TOADIE: I love you too.

(Later)

Sonya is sitting on her bed in the bedroom and is still having difficulty focusing although eventually manages to focus on a photo of her and Toadie on their wedding day. The tears freely start to flow as Toadie yells through to see if she is ready. Trying to compose herself, she replies back that she's just grabbing another sarong, to buy herself a bit more time.

Gingerly she stands up off the bed and uses the furniture to help steady herself. "Need a hand in there?" Toadie yells to his wife to chivvy her up and after a second or two, she shouts back that she is okay.

Wiping away the tears and composing herself, she takes a look round the photos of the family before plastering a smile on her face and walking out the bedroom.

SONYA: Okay, let's go!
