Russell comes in, and asks after Aaron's gig last night. Aaron says it went well.
RUSSELL: Pay well, does it?
AARON: Why, are you thinking of trying out? 'Cause the last time I saw you dance it was like you were having a seizure!
RUSSELL: Ease up!
Aaron laughs.
RUSSELL: You got a... friend, these days?
AARON: Friend?
RUSSELL: You know, a... special mate.
AARON: Dad, you sound ridiculous.
RUSSELL: Okay. Have you got a boyfriend, then?
AARON: See, it wasn't that hard, was it? And no, I don't, but thanks for asking.
RUSSELL: Look, I'm just still trying to get my head around it all. When I caught you with that bloke that time, it was like I didn't know my own son.
AARON: I just couldn't tell you because I knew how you'd react.
RUSSELL: Hmm. Threw a bit of a wobbly as I recall. Did you ever see that guy again?
AARON: No, I think he was scared off. He was a lousy kisser anyway.
RUSSELL: So was your mum!
AARON: Oh, Dad.
RUSSELL: Now look - you're comfortable with yourself. That's fine with me. That's all I ever wanted for my sons.
AARON: Thanks, Dad. I appreciate that.

Amy is telling Sonya about Paul offering her a job as his executive assistant. Sonya admits it seems a bit too corporate for Amy.
Suite 1 Eclipse Apartments
Daniel questions why Paul is hiring a carpenter as his EA. Paul claims Amy is personable and intelligent enough to pick it up - and that he's prepared to deal with any teething problems if it means that she and Jimmy will stay in Erinsborough.
No 30
Sonya tells Amy she has other options, since she's highly qualified. Amy says it's just a stopgap to keep money coming in, while she looks for other work. Plus it means she can get to know Paul better.
Suite 1 Eclipse Apartments
Paul expresses the same sentiment to Daniel, but Daniel is worried that working together doesn't necessarily entail quality time.
DANIEL: We both know that your ethics in business can be somewhat questionable. If she doesn't like what she says, then it's not just Amy you risk losing - it's Jimmy too.
No 30
Amy says Jimmy will be happy if they stay in Erinsborough. But Sonya says Paul might not be the easiest person to work with. Amy says that's part of her motivation - people show their true characters under pressure, she says, and she's hoping they find out more about one another.
Suite 1 Eclipse Apartments
Paul points out that Amy hasn't said yes yet. Daniel remains sceptical that it's a good idea.

In the back garden, Joey forces Paige into a chair. She warns him that her family is due back any minute and that he'll be arrested if he's seen. But he reveals that he knows they just left, as he's been watching the house.
PAIGE: What do you want?
JOEY: You used me.
PAIGE: I had to. Tyler was in trouble.
JOEY: You said you liked me.
PAIGE: Look, I know what I said, and I'm sorry.
JOEY: No you're not. You played me! I'm being hounded by the cops, and now my uncle's in prison!
As Joey continues to rant, Paige surreptitiously makes a call to Mark on her mobile under the table. She promises not to tell anyone Joey was here if he leaves now, but he isn't buying it, and shouts at her to shut her mouth.
Harold's Store
Mark and Tyler come in. Mark is trying to persuade Tyler to have dinner with them, ignoring his phone ringing. Mark says Russell is keen to have the whole Brennan family together, but Tyler says he's been busy sorting the garage for the liquidators. Sensing something's wrong, Mark asks Tyler if he and Russell have had a falling out.
MARK: You never did tell me why you left Port Lincoln.
TYLER: It wasn't working out, that's all.
Mark reveals that Aaron is getting on okay with Russell now, and that they even watched the footie together. He presses Tyler to tell him what's going on, but Tyler says he wouldn't understand - before reverting to the excuse that he's too busy to see Russell. Tyler walks out.

Daniel is still reading 'Anne of Green Gables', Imogen's favourite novel, to try to identify a way to romance her. Paul is sceptical, reminding him of his previous romantic gestures - and says he should stop focusing on one girl or another, but on 'girls full stop'. Daniel insists that's not who he is, and that he's going to persevere with Imogen to prove himself.
PAUL: Don't want to get us a drink, do you, Gilbert?
DANIEL: Haha.
Lassiter's Complex
Toadie and Imogen are coming out of the law office, as Imogen tells Toadie she doesn't need a lift home - she's going on a date with Caspar.
IMOGEN: And before you start, I've already heard all of the jokes about ghosts and hipsters. So you can save it.
TOADIE: No, I think it's brilliant that you've found yourself a guy with a man-bun. It gives you something to hold onto, doesn't it? Yes - but if he starts turning blue, make sure you just undo his skinny jeans a bit - they're probably cutting off the circulation.
IMOGEN: Oh, hilarious!
Toadie walks off, shouting 'boo!' back at Imogen as he goes, then laughing at his joke.
Meanwhile, Mark is walking past and checks his phone to find he has a voicemail message - of Paige and Joey arguing heatedly. He rushes off.
No 32
Joey is still shouting at Paige, accusing her of making all his mates hate him. He catches her using the phone and smashes it on the table, before flinging it across the yard. Then he picks up Paige, as she yells and screams - before looming over her threateningly against the garden table.
Ramsay Street
Kyle has come home for lunch, and runs into Amy - but it's awkward. He asks when she's leaving, but she explains she's had an unexpected job offer in Erinsborough. Before she can explain what it is, Mark pulls up in a police car with two other officers, and they rush towards No 32.
No 32
Mark and the other cops rush into the yard. Paige is sitting calmly at the table.
PAIGE: You took your time.
She gestures towards Joey, who's lying tied and gagged on the patio, and says she can look after herself!
Lassiter's Complex
The police officers, accompanied by Paige, are dragging Joey towards the station.
JOEY: Hope you feel good about yourself!
PAIGE: Yeah, I do. Say hi to your uncle for me!
Paige is expecting a lecture from Mark, but instead he skips straight to a kiss, and says he thinks it's 'hot' that she can look after herself. Russell shows up; Mark says Tyler's not up for coming to the barbecue but that he can't work out why. Russell says he'll go and talk to Tyler, admitting that they need to have a proper chat.
The Waterhole
Caspar comes in to meet Imogen for their date. He's made her a USB playlist of his 30 favourite tracks, and suggests she do the same for him, as music gives a real insight into someone's soul. Imogen's not sure Caspar would like her sort of music.
CASPAR: I've got an open mind. Try me.
IMOGEN: Even if it's Taylor Swift, or Beyoncé?
CASPAR: If you like it, I'll like it.
IMOGEN: You're really sweet.
He moves in and kisses her, and Daniel, who's nearby, walks out in a huff. But once he's gone, Imogen tells Caspar she wasn't expecting the kiss. She also tells him that, while he's a great guy, she doesn't sense a spark developing between them. He accepts this and leaves, telling her to keep the USB stick.
Fitzgerald Motors
Russell comes to find Tyler, and tells him the good news about Joey having been arrested. Tyler is concerned about Paige, but Russell says she's fine. He adds that Mark has told him about the car racket, and remarks that Tyler is still 'getting himself into trouble'.
RUSSELL: Look, I'm not trying to wind you up or cause trouble, Tyler. I just want to spend some time with my sons. I want us to be a family again.
TYLER: You made my life hell for years. What, you just expect me to pretend it never happened?
RUSSELL: I'm not proud of how I treated you, but that was a tough time, for both of us.
TYLER: Don't you dare make this about you.
RUSSELL: I was just trying to explain!
TYLER: Well forget it, I'm not interested.
RUSSELL: Figured you didn't tell your brothers about... what happened?
TYLER: About you hitting me? No I didn't.
RUSSELL: Thanks. I don't think they'd be too keen to patch things up if they knew. Look, can't we just try to make amends? Put all that behind us?
TYLER: I can't click my fingers and just forget what you did. I wish I could, but I can't.
RUSSELL: Well if you change your mind, I'm cooking a barbie later at Mark's. I can't force you to be part of our family - but I'd like to see you there.
Russell leaves.
Harold's Store
Paige comes in and finds Tyler at a table, looking glum. He asks if she's okay after her run-in with Joey - she says she's fine, and is relieved it's all over so she can be 'the old me again'. Tyler's glad to see her smiling, and asks if she wants to stay for a coffee. But Paige is just picking up sausages for the barbecue later - and she asks Tyler what the deal is with him and Russell.
Tyler insists it's 'history', but Paige says it's clearly still affecting him, whatever it is. She says family's too important to hold grudges, pointing out how well things worked out between Mary and her, and also between Aaron and Russell.
TYLER: Aaron's kidding himself if he thinks Dad is okay with the gay thing.
Paige points out that at least Russell's trying, and begs Tyler to put his differences aside and come to dinner with them - saying it'll be worth the effort.

Kyle comes round to drop off some plants for Sonya. He admits to her and Toadie that things are busy at work, but that he's been knocking back jobs and looking into flights so he can go and see Georgia in Germany. Sonya suggests that Amy could cover Kyle's work while he was away, but he awkwardly says that he thinks she's found something else - and that he couldn't afford her anyway.
Toadie suggests Kyle could take on an apprentice, and Kyle thinks he might do that, as it wouldn't cost as much. Once Kyle's gone, Sonya reveals her suspicions to Toadie - on one hand, Amy's turned down a job at Kyle's yard and is working for Paul, and on the other, Kyle's rushing over to see Georgia and seems unwilling to rehire Amy.
TOADIE: So you think that something has happened between Kyle and Amy?
SONYA: Well I just think - yeah, it's a bit suspicious.
TOADIE: No! No, Kyle loves Georgia.
SONYA: Yes, I know he does. But still - something is just not right. I've been noticing there's a bit of a weird vibe lately.
Toadie tells Sonya she's been watching too many detective shows!
Harold's Store
Daniel is sitting by the window when Caspar comes in. He admits he's been 'totally burned' by Imogen, explaining he misread the signs and kissed her but that she thinks they have no spark.
CASPAR: The spark's just a modern construct perpetuated by Jamie Dornan movies.
DANIEL: So there's nothing going on between you two?
CASPAR: She's into Beyoncé. It's never going to work.
DANIEL: Oh, that's brilliant! ... I ... Yeah, sorry, mate. I'll catch you later.
Caspar looks perplexed as Daniel can't get out of there fast enough!

Paige, Mark, Aaron and Russell are sitting down to dinner. Mark asks if Russell spoke to Tyler, but Russell says he was stubborn and refused to come. Aaron is curious as to why, but Mark says family must just not be that important to Tyler. However, just as they're proposing a toast, Tyler turns up and asks for a steak!
PAIGE: Hey, Brennan?
AARON, TYLER, MARK and RUSSELL: Yeah?
PAIGE: Okay, I'm gonna have to start calling you Mark from now on.
TYLER: Finally!
MARK: Why did that always bug you?
TYLER: Because making people call you by your last name is pretentious.
PAIGE: And you being all here, it's just getting confusing. So I'm gonna put the press release out - you are gonna be Mark from now on.
Russell raises a toast.
RUSSELL: To family!
ALL: To family.
Russell watches, smiling, as Tyler sits down with the others.
Lassiter's Complex
Amy turns up as Kyle is having a meal in the courtyard. As they talk, Paul appears, and Amy tells him that she's decided to accept his job offer. Paul's thrilled, but Kyle looks less than pleased.
Imogen turns up, having received a text from Daniel, and finds him standing in the courtyard with his ukulele and a row of candles. He climbs on one of the flower boxes and begins to sing her a song.
DANIEL (singing): Took a look, at this book, 'bout a girl named Anne / She was smart, with a heart, and in love with a man...
Imogen is smiling. Daniel tells her the next bit's about her.
DANIEL (singing): You're sweet, and neat, and sometimes get frustrated...
He says the next bit's about him.
DANIEL (singing): I'm chilled, and I'm skilled, and this song is underrated / We were stuck down a well for a very long spell / From our very first meet, we were fated / Gil needed Anne, and Anne was Gil's plan / So forget Caspar Smythe, let me be your Gilbert Blythe!
Imogen claps delightedly.
DANIEL: Whaddya say, Carrots?
IMOGEN: I say yes!
She hugs him, while Paul, Amy and Kyle clap in the background. Daniel and Imogen kiss.
IMOGEN: I cannot believe that you read the book!
DANIEL: Yeah, and I watched the TV series - twice. We could go upstairs and watch it now if you wanted.
IMOGEN: Or, we could do something else.
DANIEL: Really?
IMOGEN: I've saved myself for this moment - with you, Daniel.
DANIEL: Are you sure?
IMOGEN: I've never been more sure of anything in my life.
They kiss again.
