Ringo breaks the "rookie record"
A girl comes on to Ringo at a party. He tells her he's not with Donna anymore.
Declan throws Ringo and his footy mates out of a hotel room.
Ringo tells Declan that he's just jealous of his football success.
Hotel Room
Ringo is cleaning up the room when Miranda comes in. Declan is angry that Ringo has trashed the room. Miranda tells Declan that he's doing so well to provide for his family.
MIRANDA: When I think of the boy who panicked when Bridget was pregnant, and I look at the man you are now, you've a lot to be proud of.
DECLAN: As I scrub beer from the couch.
Miranda picks up the brush and starts to help him.
Charlie's
Ringo and his footie mates are hanging out in Charlie's. Ringo is feeling a bit guilty about trashing the room, but Adam tells him to just enjoy his fame.
Ashley comes over and fawns over Ringo, clinking glasses with him.
No.26
Declan and Miranda arrive home. Bridget greets Declan and he tells her about Ringo and his football mates trashing the room. Bridget asks him if he's a bit jealous of Ringo being out that partying, but he says he isn't, it just seems that he and Ringo have nothing in common anymore.
No.28, the following morning
Ringo comes in, on the phone to Bridget. He agrees to come around later then hangs up. Susan asks Ringo why he's getting in at 7am and he explains he's been out with the football team. She tells him she knows he's moving on in his life, but that he shouldn't lose touch with his friends. He just goes off to shower, explaining he's going out with Adam again.
No.30
Libby has arrived home with Dan and Steph and Toadie greet her with flowers and a hug. Libby sits down gingerly on the couch and tells them she's fine and asks them for a gossip update. Toadie says he might try out for the football team this season. They all laugh awkwardly and then Steph asks if Libby has told Ben about the baby yet. She admits they haven't, but they're working out what to say.
Ramsay Street
Ringo has borrowed Adam's swish 4x4 and calls for Declan to go for a spin.
DECLAN: If you want someone to clean your car, go to a car wash.
RINGO: So, what, you're going to hold a grudge now?
DECLAN: Beacuse you treated me like a servant, yeah, I think I'm going to hold a grudge.
Just then, Bridget follows Declan out.
RINGO:(to Declan) I thought this would make up for last night.
DECLAN: You thought wrong.
He walks off back into the house.
RINGO:(to Bridget) I tried. Guy's got a chip on his shoulder the size of this car.
BRIDGET: What, you don't think this has anything to do with you?
RINGO: No.
BRIDGET: Ringo, five minutes ago you were at war with Zeke. Now it's you and Declan. Don't you spot a theme?
RINGO: Keep out of this, Didge.
He gets into the car.
BRIDGET: HEY! You can't run away from your friends!
He drives off anyway.
No.30
Susan pops around to see Libby who is sorting out her clothes. She staggers to her feet and Susan and Steph tell her that she should be resting. When Libby has gone to put the kettle on, Steph tells Susan that she thinks Libby is in denial.
LIBBY: (false bright) Who wants tea, who wants coffee?
SUSAN: (taking her hands) You need to tell Ben.
LIBBY: Yeah, I know. We will.
SUSAN: He's going to here from someone else.
LIBBY: Yeah, we'll deal with it Mum, but he's not here right now, so tea or coffee?
Miranda pops around with some lasagne and tells them that she's really enjoying her job and they're even talking about forming a netball team. Libby says that would be great and they should all join!
Gym
Dan is pumping iron and Lucas is counting his lifts. Toadie and Steve come in. Dan talks about football and then goes off to change. The rest look worriedly at one another.
Harold's Store
Ashley comes in and ask Ringo if he wants to take her for a spin in the car. They kiss but as they do Bridget comes in.
BRIDGET: Hey.
ASHLEY: We're busy.
BRIDGET: Didn't take you long to find the groupies.
ASHLEY: Jealous, much?
Bridget tells Ringo that Donna will be home in a few days. He doesn't seem concerned.
ASHLEY: Thanks for the newsflash. Now you can go and do some tragic maternity shopping.
RINGO: Oi, Didge is a friend, OK? (to Didge) Just leave it.
Ashley asks Didge if she is "the cleaner's girlfriend".
BRIDGET: Dec was right, this whole thing has gone to your head.
ASHLEY: Who cares? Right now he's got a great car, and a chick who'd really like a ride. So what do you say?
RINGO: Let's go?
Lassiter's Lake
Ringo and Ashley pull up in the car and are about to start pashing, but Ashley wants to know if Ringo and Donna really are finished. He tells her that they definitely are.
ASHLEY: You can do a lot better than her.
RINGO: Yeah?
He suggests they go back to her place. She tells her that the house will be free so they can get "a lot more comfortable".
Gym
Lucas, Dan, Steve and Toadie are working out. Toadie is rather knackered and Dan encourages him.
LUCAS: Go home, Dan. Libby needs you.
He storms off to the changing room.
No.30
Miranda is catching Susan up on the hotel room trashing last night. They chat about the teens in general. Libby comes in and says she'd downloaded a netball training plan and some designs for uniforms. Suddenly she stumbles and says she just felt a bit dizzy for a minute. They make her sit down on the sofa.
LIBBY: I am not an invalid, can you all chill out?!
There is an awkward silence.
LIBBY: I'm sorry.
SUSAN: It's alright, darling, you've got an awful lot to deal with...
LIBBY:(firmly) I'm fine.
There is a long pause.
LIBBY: You know what, maybe I just do need some rest, OK? Um, I'll be alright, I just need to get some sleep and then we'll catch up tonight.
She shows them all out. When she closes the door behind them, she leans behind it and starts to sob.
(Later)
Libby is showing Dan some colour options for the netball team uniforms. He tries to get her off the subject, but eventually says he likes the blue.
DAN: Lib, we need to call Ben, get home from...
LIBBY: No, he's having fun, let him be.
DAN: Lib...
LIBBY: Dan, will you please just let me think about something else.
Harold's Store
Toadie is stiff after his "big workout" of twenty minutes(!) Lucas and Steve laugh at him. Miranda comes in and tries to avoid Steve, but he comes over to talk to her. She tells him about the netball team they are forming.
STEVE: I'm just a bit confused about where we stand with each other after the other night. I just don't want you to feel uncomfortable with me.
MIRANDA: I'm not. Seriously, it's fine.
STEVE: Are you sure?
MIRANDA: Steve!
STEVE: OK, well, good to see you.
MIRANDA: The gym beckons.
STEVE: Lucky Jim.
No.26
Susan comes to talk to Declan and Bridget about Ringo. Bridget tells Susan that Ringo has been acting like an idiot. Declan has nothing to say, so Bridget fills Susan in about Ringo blowing off exams and hanging around with footy skanks.
DECLAN: The guy's a tool.
Outside Ashley's house
Ringo and Ashley park the 4x4 and Ringo admires the house which is massive.
Susan calls Ringo and tells him to come home immediately. He tells her he's in the middle of something, so she tries to lure him with offers of food. He just pretends that he's lost phone signal.
He kisses Ashley and they head off into the house. They kiss in the front garden, but just then Nathan the coach comes out of the house and shouts at Ringo.
NATHAN: Get your hands off my daughter!
