West Warratah market carpark
As they make their way back to Elle's car, Donna and Elle chat about what happened in the hotel room. Elle thinks that it was Donna's first time but she mistakenly lets slip that it was Ringo's first time... and that he'll get better with practice!
West Warratah market carpark/The General Store
Lucas calls Elle but because she is about to drive, Donna answers the phone instead and to deflect attention from her afternoon's activities, tells Lucas that Elle would love to go out with him.
Lucas worries about the noise he can hear Elle's car making and suddenly Elle's phone goes dead after Donna screams. He is well concerned and when we return to the ladies, the car is in a right mess after its crashed.
NinjaLucas™ arrives and tells Donna to call for an ambulance and orders her back from the car as he lifts Elle out of the car. The three of them make their way to safety seconds before the car explodes.
Charlie's
Karl is in very good mood and offers to buy Ringo and Zeke a drink. Susan too is still over the moon and when Dan comes over they ask how he got things sorted with Ben...
Hospital
And we cut to the hospital where Dan asks for Ben's permission to marry his mum and is told to ask her first! When Dan says he's one that already, Ben asks what happens if he says no.
DAN: You just say what you mean and we'll deal with it.
BEN: You'd have to look after her.
DAN: I would mate.
BEN: And you'd have to look after me too.
DAN: Of course, it's all part of the deal.
BEN: You'd have to kick the footy with me and teach me how to bowl a leg-break.
DAN: Mmm. Mate, consider it done.
And do seal the deal they both shake hands after spitting in them first!
Dan relays the good news outside in the corridor to the waiting Susan and Libby when they spot Lucas, Donna and Elle being pushed in a wheelchair. They explain the details of what happened and Nurse Smith takes Elle off. Lucas asks what is going on but just as Dan is about to tell him, Libby jumps in to say they are here to pick Ben up.
In the treatment room, Karl checks Elle over as Lucas watches on. When Karl goes to organise x-rays, Elle thanks him for saving her but Lucas has a go at Elle for buying an ancient car. They end up agreeing not to disagree but Elle has more things to worry about - not being able to recall Lucas handsome and commanding as he lifted her out of the car.
ELLE: You're serious? (Lucas nods) Did I say anything else?
LUCAS: One or two other things.
ELLE: (worried) What?
Lucas doesn't want to use his ammunition just yet so doesn't say which frustrates Elle so she goes on that it is common for people to say things they don't mean when they have concussion.
LUCAS: Look I'm sorry that it took a bump on the head for you to tell me how you feel but I'm really glad that you did.
ELLE: Get over yourself.
Elle then refuses his help to manoeuvre herself out of the room but all she does is bash into things.
Out in the corridor Donna asks how Elle is going and Lucas replies that she is getting better because her defences have returned! Donna puts that down to Elle liking him and says that she's been given the all clear when he enquires about her.
Nurse Smith appears to say that Elle hasn't broken any bones and is now being discharged as Ringo rocks up, worried about Donna but she rather plays down what happens and rejects a lift home from him.
Charlie's
Ben is trying to push forward a new deal for Dan marrying his mum - chips whenever he likes starting with some just now, which Libby concedes to since they are celebrating.
The lovebirds disagree on how long the engagement will be and where the wedding will be held with Libby's reasoning being that it's the 2nd time for both of them. Karl tries backing Libby up but Susan tells him that the wallet is being opened to pay for whatever Libby wants.
Ringo arrives and Zeke catches him to enquire how Donna is but he can't say because Donna is refusing to talk to him. They change topics and Ringo asks Zeke to come with him to check out a car he has his eyes on.
Lassiter's Complex
Zeke tells Ringo that there is no way he can afford the $6000 that the Ute is going to cost. Sascha the seller arrives and she runs thought the specs of the Ute and for those interested... the colour is brown! Ringo asks for a test-drive after Sascha says she'll give him $2k for Frazer's old car.
Number 28
Ringo does the sums to see if he can afford the Ute but is $2k short so Zeke offers to put the money in, in return for sharing the car but adds on an additional clause - that he has to say it is his car, which Ringo is happy to agree to.
Number 22
Lucas pops in to check up on Elle since her phone was destroyed in the accident. Donna comes down from her bedroom and whittles on about things that they can do even though it looks like Elle is wishing she'd disappear so that she could spend time with Lucas. Elle ends up snapping at her when she gets fed up of Donna's "help".
ELLE: Haven't you done enough for one day?!
DONNA: You think this is all my fault don't you?
ELLE: Well you know what if you hadn't have distracted me I could have just concentrated on the road.
LUCAS: Hey Elle.
DONNA: No, you're right; you should probably just kick me out now. I mean I'm not family, I'm just some stupid girl you were trying to help and now I've almost killed you.
In the kitchen, Lucas tells Donna that it wasn't her fault and that Elle can't even remember the accident but that doesn't cheer Donna up. He rejects Donna's claim that he's just trying to make her better and instead asks if she heard the same noise he did before the accident. Donna confirms that she did and that the noise stopped right before they went off the road. Lucas' heckles are raised and he wants to check out the car but Donna tells him that he can't because its an insurance job now but he still takes the tow truck driver's card from her.
Number 28
Karl and Dan arrive home just after Susan's left a threatening message on Karl's voicemail that he'd better not say anything stupid to Dan [about the wedding] or she will kill him. The duo tell Susan of their chat - that a low key garden wedding would be perfect.
SUSAN: I'm not catering.
KARL: You won't have to... because I've applied some lateral thinking and I thought we could have a barbeque.
(Karl pulls a pig in the front door)
BEN: That's Babe. You can't eat Babe.
KARL: Don't be silly mate, it's just a pig.
SUSAN: Are you insane?! You're going to traumatise that child.
KARL: What you talking about, he eats meat.
As if to prove the point, Ben helps the noisy pig escape from the house with Karl in hot pursuit.
SUSAN: (to Dan) I married him three times. Makes you wonder doesn't it!
Number 28 (next day)
Zeke gets interrupted by Susan as he is about to transfer the money into Ringo's account however Susan senses that something is up and wants to see the laptop screen but Zeke's convincing story (he's chatting to a girl he likes) prompts her to change her mind. The boys get excited at the prospect of having a new set of wheels.
Garage
Elle is surprised to see her car on the forecourt as she passes the garage. Lucas explains his theory to her - that the accident wasn't caused by Donna distracting her, rather because her steering went and shows her the evidence to prove it. He also points out that her seatbelt wasn't bolted in either and repeats to her again that she bought a lemon before adding that she owes Donna an apology.
Number 22
Jason the dodgy car dealer calls round to personally put things right with Elle and he'll refund the money she paid for the car immediately if she doesn't get the insurance company involved.
ELLE: You sold me an unsafe car. What, you think I'm going to deal with you now?
He offers to sweeten the deal by adding 10% to what she paid saying his reputation is important to him when Elle questions him.
JASON: Take the money.
The General Store
The money is burning a hole on Ringo's wallet as they wait for Sascha's boyfriend to arrive to conclude the deal because she can't make it and two seconds later, Jason the dodgy car dealer walks in to meet the boys.
JASON: You're going to love this Ute.
