Lassiter's Exterior
Elle and her ugly shorts can't believe that Oliver has agreed to Rebecca's strict rules without hesitation. Unable to help herself, Elle struts over and tells Rebecca that she's being way too controlling. Oliver takes Elle aside and hushes her - he's thankful to have her support, but right now he just wants to spend some time with his mum. Oliver hobbles back to Rebecca on his crutches while Elle looks peeved.

Rebecca has brought her 'Memoirs of a Secret Son' tin to show Oliver, who is pleased that his mum kept tabs on him all these years. Breaking into a sad smile, Rebecca confesses that she used to badger her dad all the time to get any information she could. Oliver reveals that it was Alan Napier who told him about her, which surprises Rebecca. He never used to be so forthcoming with information.
OLIVER: Maybe that's why he's hanging on, maybe he wants to get it right with you?
REBECCA: I doubt it.
OLIVER: Well have you and Declan been into the hospital yet to visit him?
(Rebecca bristles at the mention of her other son)
OLIVER: I mean, he's my half brother, right? Or do we share the same father?
It all gets a bit too much for Rebecca and she packs up all her stuff to leave. But when Ollie begs for another meeting, Rebecca agrees to have lunch with him the next day.
Number 22
Elle is ranting to Paul about Rebecca's treatment of Ollie. Hearing a ruckus, Mickey wakes up and wanders downstairs much to Ned's chagrin. Mickey reckons Oliver should listen to Elle. Pleased, Elle thanks her little cheerleader as Ned sends him back up to bed. Paul reckons that Elle just needs to chill, however. He knows she's only got Oliver's best interests at heart but she has to let him work this one out himself.

Pepper and Adam are chatting about films. Unleashing her inner 15-year-old, Pepper sighs over Titanic and how romantic it is. Her inner 15-year-old and my inner 14-year-old then squee excitedly about how we're totally going to marry Leo one day. Adam though, is more elusive about his favourite film.
Caleb barrels in to join Harold, Kerry and Sky at a table and waves an itinerary in Sky's face. Harold's surprised to learn that Caleb and Sky are planning on going to a 3-day art expo in Sydney, and takes Sky aside for a private word.
Concerned, Harold wonders if it's just the two of them going on the trip. Sky nods but doesn't get why her granddad is so worried; she thought he liked Caleb?
HAROLD: It's just that he's such a good-looking young fellow...
Ahh, I see. Harold's jealous. No, not really. He's just worried that Caleb is too invested in this friendship and that Sky needs to make her own intentions more clear to him before someone gets hurt.
Number 22
Elle concedes that Paul is right about Ollie, but she still thinks that Rebecca is a "selfish cow". Mickey wanders out of bed again, this time to try and call Janae to see if she can come to school with him tomorrow. Ushering Mickey Mouse back upstairs, Ned promises he'll text Janae and ask.
The solid, sturdy housing structure shakes and rattles as Ollie knocks on the door and lets himself in. Paul leaves he and Elle to chat alone as Ollie tells her that he had a good talk with Rebecca.
ELLE: I'm glad. Just promise me one thing.
OLIVER: What's that?
ELLE: Don't invest everything in this. Hold a little of yourself back.
OLIVER: Yeah, I promise.
Primary School - Next Morning
Ned (piggybacking Mickey yet again - is this kid allergic to walking short distances?) and Janae drop the young'un off at the front gate for his first day. As Janae rushes after him with his forgotten lunchbox, Mickey quietly asks if he really has to do this whole school thing. Psyching him up, Janae tells him there are two rules of survival.
JANAE: One, you don't let them know you're scared. And two, you don't let anyone push you around.
And three, if anyone asks you where Minnie is, kick 'em in the shins. Or not... Janae sends him on his way while Ned throws her an appreciative look, "It meant a lot to him you coming." They break out of their UST-y stare and leave while poor, bewildered Mickey climbs the stairs to meet his doom.

Caleb is chattering on about the expo while Sky subtly checks that they're staying in two separate hotel rooms. She should be more concerned that the length she's lost in her miniskirt has been made up by the giant-ness of her hair 'do. Cottoning on to a bit of Sky's nervousness, Caleb asks if everything's okay. Sky assures him that he's ace and all that, but she just wants to make sure things are kept on a friendly level for now. "What we have is amazing, but what we do with it..." Caleb totally gets it and gives Sky the option to forgo the Sydney trip if she wants to.
SKY: How would you feel if I just thought about it some more?
CALEB: Okay, here's a plan. On the way to the airport I'll stop here for a bite to eat. If you wanna come, bring your stuff, if you don't, well I'll bring you back some comics.
Harold wanders in with Adam after bumping into him at the video store, but realises he's lost track of time and should be back at work. Joining Pepper, Adam gives her a DVD to watch tonight "to expand that beautiful mind of yours." Adam walks out and Pepper opens up the case - but by the startled look on her face I'm guessing it's not Mary Poppins...
Number 22
Elle is begrudgingly helping Oliver set up for his lunch with Rebecca. But it looks like it's all off when Rebecca calls Ollie's mobile to cancel. Ollie puts on a brave face for Elle but she can tell that his widdle heart is crushed.
Number 30
Checking that she's home alone (and wishing her DVD was Home Alone I guess...) Pepper puts the offending disc on to confirm her suspicions.
Bow chicka wow wowwww...
Pepper looks revolted. I'm thinking that someone has come to clean zee pool.
Lassiter's Exterior
Outfit watch #535 - Ned should not wear a tank top under his overalls, he looks like a Chippendale stripper. Anyway, Ned and Janae bump into Harold on their lunch break. As Ned excuses himself to take a call, Harold sits and has a chat with Janae. The good vibe is broken, however, when Ned informs them that there's been a bullying incident at the school. Janae jumps up to join him but Ned insists on handling this one alone.
Primary School
Ned rushes up to a kid with his arm in a sling, but soon realises it isn't his son. Principal Colin Finch suddenly appears with Mickey by his side and grimly informs Ned that it was his son who was doing the bullying and hurt poor Hayden.
MICKEY: I showed them no one could push me around.
Somewhere in the neighbourhood, Janae yelps in surprise as her words come back to bite her on the butt. Principal Finch tells Ned that the school has a zero-tolerance policy on bullying. He understands that Mickey's had some personal problems lately, but if he bullies someone again he will be expelled.
Number 22
Ned is trying to talk some sense into Mickey while Janae and Paul look on. But Mickey thinks that since he showed the kids at school who's boss, no one will bother him in the future.
NED: So now that you're the big bad bully are you happy with that?
MICKEY: Yes.
Annoyed, Ned sends him to bed. Mickey cheekily tries to sit and watch the telly but Ned will have none of it. As Mickey runs upstairs, Janae guiltily confesses to Ned that she was the one who told Mickey not to let anyone push him around. Misplacing his anger, Ned irritably wonders if Janae ever thinks before she speaks. This of course does not sit well with her.
JANAE: So it's fine for me to look after Mickey, to constantly give you advice, even fix his clothes. But what, I can't even talk to him myself? Is that what you're saying?
NED: There's only going to be one voice of authority - mine.
JANAE: Fine. Far be it for me to interfere.
Janae angrily stalks out in a huff while Paul giggles smugly into his sandwich. Hand on hip, Ned tries on some sass and asks Paul if he's got something to say. But Paul just shakes his head and pretends to zip lock his mouth shut.
Rebecca's House
Rebecca's horrified to find Elle on her doorstep and quickly ushers her down the driveway. But Elle is fired up and tells her how disappointed Oliver was when Rebecca cancelled on him. Rebecca coolly replies that she has been at the doctor's all morning with Declan, thank you very much.
REBECCA: Perhaps you should get your facts straight before becoming so poisonous in the future.
ELLE: How can you dote so much on one child and care so little for another?
REBECCA: Just get off my property, and stay away from me and my son.
Charlie's
The three blondes of the 'borough (Pepper, Sky and Janae) sit and ponder over Adam's dodgy DVD. The girls think that Pepper should pretend that she's sick or "accidentally" lose it.
JANAE: Object on religious grounds.
SKY: Sabotage the DVD player. Or tell him the truth.
JANAE: Nah, that never works.
Pep squeals as Adam sneaks up on her, ready for their DVD night. Trying to get out of it, Pepper offers to stay and buy the girls another drink but Sky has some fun and insists that Pep and Adam head off and have a good time.
The duo pass Harold on their way out, who has brought Kerry in to her mum. It looks as though Sky's going to Sydney. When Caleb arrives he's stoked to discover the news.
CALEB: Does this mean...?
SKY: With bells on.
CALEB: (wry) You can fly with bells on, right? That's not a safety hazard?
SKY: Oh, metaphorical ones you can. I checked.
Harold gives them both a fond look, but his eyes linger a little longer on Caleb 'cause he still secretly loves him and all that... They really do! Check yourself!
Number 30
Pep makes one last lame effort to back out of the DVD night but Adam is insistent on watching the movie with her.
Bow chicka wow wowwww...
It soon becomes clear though that Adam has no idea why they're watching people getting jiggy wit it, and assumes that Pepper put her pick on instead.
PEPPER: (indignant) I didn't choose this, you did!
ADAM: No way! My favourite film is Blade Runner.
Stunned, they wonder who on earth this DVD actually belongs to. Too bad Lou is in Russia; I'd totally blame him...
Charlie's
Harold and Janae walk back in after seeing Sky and Caleb off. Harold has a DVD he needs to take back that he didn't get a chance to watch - but opens it and finds that he has the wrong one anyway. Ewwww times a million. Please don't tell me that Harry is a closet Paris Hilton fan!
Janae catches Ned's eye (who is in for a quick drink with Paul) but she leaves before he can speak. He picks up his mobile to call her but quickly decides against it. Ned asks Paul if he thought he was unfair to Janae earlier. Paul thinks that he was.
PAUL: It seems like you've got a pretty complicated friendship there.
NED: If I had any chance with her at all I've blown it.
PAUL: Ah, come on. Don't give up all hope.
NED: There wasn't much of that.
PAUL: No?
NED: Now I've lost the friendship with her too.
Number 22
Elle natters on to Ollie about helping Mickey with his homework while the boys are out, but Ollie has more pressing issues to discuss. Rebecca told him about the little chat Elle had with her today. Defending herself, Elle thinks that Rebecca is being too weird and secretive for her own good. But Ollie is too annoyed to listen.
OLIVER: Elle, don't ask me to chose between you and her, because I promise you, you will not be happy with my choice.
