Recap
Paul trusts Dylan with his life
Mishka arrives
Number 24
Mishka is taking comfort in Vegemite as she stands blubbing by the pool. Lou tells her that he'll pay her fare home if she doesn't like it here but Mishka tells him that she's crying because she's so happy - she's dreamt of Australia for so long. Plus she's met a lovely man who owns a lovely home. She's even learning to like Vegemite. Lou offers to cook brekkie but she won't have it - she's cooking for him.
Number 22
CamRob comes in from the bakery to find Elle asleep and Dylan crashed out on the floor. Elle wakes and answers a call on Dylan's mobile from Sky. CamRob hears Izzy and Paul talk about the promising fact that Elle and Dylan spent the night together. Paul is cautious, unsure he even wants to see them together in wake of Dylan's recent behaviour.
Elle is told by the chipmunk Sky to tell Dyl that he's a lazy, good-for-nothing slob. Dyl wakes up and thinks Sky's going the hate the fact that Elle answered his phone, first thing in the morning. Elle reminds him who she is and assures him she'll be cool with it.
The General Store
Max comes in, yawning, and tells Connor that he's been up all night in the back of the Scarlet Bar, watching the CCTV cameras in a bid to find the serial graffiti artist. Connor thinks it's disgraceful and offers to look out instead of Max tonight. It's his field (Private Investigating) after all. Max agrees to it, as he should.
Ned comes in, all joyful at having booked Izzy's car. Connor think he's sick in the head. Max announces that, actually, the ticket is his as he borrowed Izzy's car. Whoops. Ned says he was too close to the fire hydrant - that's his story and he's sticking to it. Max says he would rip his little ticket book into shreds, if he wasn't too tired to do it.
Number 24
Mishka is giving Harry and Lou tons of food for brekkie. She's amazed at how much food there is as it's a different story back home. Harry suggests Lou take Mishka to the zoo and Mishka thinks it's a great idea. Afterwards they can take a photo of Warney's house. Harry and Lou eventually work out that it's Shane Warne she's talking about (he's her hero). Mishka tells Lou that's he's such a good man, opening his house to his sad friend and his sad friend's granddaughter. Harry is obviously surprised and offers to drive Lou to the Zoo, pinching a little too hard around his neck as he helps him towards the door.
In the lounge room Dylan tells Sky how knackered he is from work and how he went back to Elle's for a DVD to relax. Sky thinks it's fine and wonders why he thought she'd be jealous. They work together and have forged a bond like her and JP. Dylan asks what JP has to do with anything. It amazes him how often she mentions him for no reason; anyone would think she would have something to feel guilty about.
Number 24
Sky reassures him that she wouldn't mention JP if she felt guilty. Dylan says he's paranoid due to sleep deprivation and stress. He's about to go but she has something to say and she really needs to be honest about it. He can't fly off the handle, though. She tells him that there's a chance she has feelings for JP, although she doesn't know what sort of feelings these 'feelings' are. She thinks what she feels for him is tied up in finding herself, as an artist. It's just a crush. Dylan isn't happy and leaves to get as far away from her as he can get.
Scarlet Bar
Connor shows Ned something on his laptop - a good Samaritan getting a parking ticket from Ned as he helps an old lady to cross the road. There's also Ned with a stopwatch by a car, waiting to give a ticket. Connor asks why he lets Izzy and Paul get to him so much. Max joins in, saying Izzy has ruined many a man and he doesn't need to be one of them. Izzy comes in and laughs at Ned taking a coffee break. Connor tells Ned to rise above it.
Max asks Izzy to hold the fort at the bar while he takes Charlie to the zoo. Izzy wants to tag along too, to Max's surprise. He agrees.
Ned thinks he has to work harder at being nasty. He's gonna be meaner, to Connor's dismay.
The General Store
Elle thinks it's great that Charlie is going to the zoo, getting CamRob to back her up that Paul never took them anywhere as good. Paul thinks it's useless as Charlie's too young to remember anything. Max is doing it for the shared experience. Izzy kisses Paul goodbye.
Dylan turns up, late, and Paul's not chuffed. Dylan decides to make some shelves to win back some of Paul's approval, even though he's no qualified carpenter.
Zoo (or Healesville Sanctuary, as it says on the sign)
Mishka goes to pat a wallaby and Lou asks Harold if he's still annoyed. Harry thinks Mishka is charming but wants him to clear up the issue about who owns number 24. Lou promises he will. Mishka wants to buy a wallaby but Harry and Lou break it to her that they can't. Mishka tells them that it's different in Russia.
The General Store
Sky decides it's a good idea to try and smooth things out with Dyl as he puts up shelves, overseen by CamRob. She just wanted to be honest. She wants to know how he feels and he suggest she find out how she feels herself - paint a picture about it or something. He yells that he's busy and she leaves, all seen by Elle and Paul. Dylan tells Elle to keep out of it then tells Paul that his mind is on the job, as CamRob twirls a nail between his fingers, plotting.
Zoo (Healesville Sanctuary)
Mishka learns about koalas. She notices Lou is a bit down and he tells her that he's dragged her here under false pretences. He's about to tell her about the house when Harry appears with tea. Mishka tells them that the tea is different here but she has to learn to love it.
Number 24
Sky looks over a photo of her and Dylan in happier times as Brooke Fraser's 'Arithmetic' (the Stax-reunited in ep4906 song) plays. It goes all MV-like when Sky opens up the photo frame to find the note Dyl gave her putting her number one on his list, after her fancy dress party on her eighteenth (which she flashes back to).
SKY: What am I doing?
The General Store
Dylan rages about Sky and JP to CamRob. CamRob thinks Sky doesn't love JP, just admires him. Sky appears, wearing the Native American Headgear Dyl wore to her fancy dress shindig. She waited until now so she didn't make a scene. Dylan angrily asks how she can wear that ridiculous outfit and not expect to cause a scene. She rips it off and storms out. CamRob thinks he should go after her but Dyl won't. CamRob says he'll mind the store for him and Dyl rushes off. Soon as he's gone CamRob starts to take stock off the shelves Dyl put up.
The Scarlet Bar
Connor, on the roof, ensures the CCTV cameras cover everywhere. After he says Ned has a heart of gold Neddy goes all evil and takes away his ladder. Connor calls him a big meanie but it's too late.
CONNOR: He's crossed over to the dark side.
Lassiter's Lake
Dylan apologises to Sky - he was a little embarrassed about the Indian thing. She says she wanted to give something to him: 'The Things I Love About Dylan Timmins'.
1. He makes each day sparkle
2. He makes me laugh
3. He's not afraid to be gentle
4. He doesn't give a damn what the rest of the world thinks...
There are tons more - the printout is seriously long. Sky says there are a lot of things she loves about Dylan. He doesn't know what to say and she asks him to be honest. He feels threatened - he doesn't understand this thing she has with JP. He wants to know if their relationship can survive if she keeps seeing him. It's damaged already. Sky will have to make a choice.
Zoo (Healesville Sanctuary)
Mishka will never forget this day. Lou thanks Harry for lending him some cash, which Mishka used to buy up half the gift shop. She wants to see Shane Warne now and they're a little surprised she'd rather see him than do all the tons of other Aussie things she could do. Mishka knows nothing about cricket but all she sees is this beautiful blond boy (Warne) and the way he tricks the batsman under big blue skies. That's what made her think she wanted to go to Australia.
The General Store
Izzy and Max look photos from their trip on a laptop, which is being made good use of today. Ned spots Elle trying to put something on Dylan's shelves but then the whole thing comes down on top of her, as Ned screams about the baby. Max holds the shelving up as Izzy looks at Elle, who's passed out on the floor. CamRob tries not to laugh as Dylan looks very confused and worried.
The General Store
Izzy and Paul decide Elle should be taken to the hospital. Paul thinks she could have been killed, along with wee Charlie. Dylan starts to say he has no idea what happened when Paul spins around and yells at him, telling him to stop making excuses. CamRob jumps in, backing up Dyl's claim that he tested them. Paul knows that accidents don't just happen and he bets Sky was here, which Dylan admits is true. Paul thinks his mind wasn't on the job and fires him. Their association is over from this moment on. CamRob tries not to look too smug.
CAMROB: Sorry, mate.
