Recap
- Max is horrified that Lyn was going to meet up with his Dad for a drink.
- Steph is shocked when Bobby and Izzy tell her they won $10 000 for her appeal.
- Dylan blabbing that everyone knows Boyd and Serena had a fling, and that he kissed Sky.
Classroom
Boyd asks Sky why she never said anything to him, and she replies that it was no big deal. He questions her, and she says of course it was a big deal, but he was going through a hard time, and even though she was upset, she couldn't exactly chuck a tanti, and she has had time to get over it now. Besides that, Serena told her that he put the brakes on it all. Boyd asks if she was ever going to bring it up, but she asks the same of him - Can't he see the irony? As far as Sky was concerned, it was done, and her giving him a hard time about it wasn't going to help anyone - he was so fragile, and she didn't want to upset anyone.
BOYD: So you just went and kissed Dylan instead, did you?
At that moment, Summer's geek-friend Penny (who is dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein...or...something - Happy Friday 13th!) sticks her head around the door, but apologises - she has the wrong room. Sky turns back to Boyd and wonders what he wants to do. She just wants to put it in the past and move on, but Boyd wants to know if she is so cool with him and Serena, then why did she kiss Dylan?

Steph hangs up the phone from the Solicitor, and is all excited - her appeal is going to be heard next week! Bobby hugs her as she tells him she doesn't know what he said, but the QC has taken pity on her, and is going to represent her Pro Bono (at least, I think that is what she said...), and only charge her for the initial consultation fee - which Bobby says is certainly taken care of. Steph is still a bit hesitant to take the money, but Bobby won't hear it - she can't fight for her innocence with thin air, no matter how Max feels. She says she will have another talk to him.
Summer arrives home with Lyn in tow, talking about Bree and the spelling bee. Steph asks how Summer went, and Summer says she came second, but Bree deserved to win. Steph says they are still very proud of her. Summer goes off to see Bree, but not before Bobby slips her a $50. She doesn't want to take it, but he insists.
Bobby starts talking to Lyn about their date that night, and Steph looks up, miffed, but Lyn quickly tells him she can't make it...she hasn't *cough* been able to *cough* find a babysitter for Ozzie *cough*. Bobby insists they do it another time, then Lyn rushes off leaving Steph looking sorta WhatTheHeckJustHappened-ish.
Number 26 - Home of Spelling Champions!
Janelle is telling Bree that it is ok to have butterflies; she just has to get them flying in formation next time. Lyn thinks it is a lot of pressure, but Janelle says she was just as nervous as Bree was (although Janelle was more nervous about the $15 000 prize money...). Lyn doesn't think it is good for Bree, but Janelle says it will just make her stronger. Summer pulls the $50 from her pocket, and tells Bree her Grandpa told them to treat themselves. They go to rush out the door, but Janelle pulls Bree up, telling her they have to get back to the books. She rushes off to find a Latin definition book, and Lyn says she is just excited.
BREE: She just makes me so nervous!
Erinsborough High Corridor
Sky tells Boyd that Dylan kissed her and he shouldn't have - end of story. Boyd still won't buy it - he says if Sky hadn't wanted Dylan to kiss her, he would have a huge black eye by now. Neither wants to fight with the other - they both know they have made mistakes. Sky wants to forgive and forget, but Boyd wishes it were that easy. He says he thinks it is pretty obvious where they are headed, as a mysterious person - who looks suspiciously like Lou - dressed in a red velvet cape, and holding a scepter sneaks into the room behind them (maybe it's Carly's Ukulele-playing Yeti finally turning up *shrugs*). Sky wants to go get a coffee and sort it out, but Boyd passes - he doesn't know what they are hanging onto anymore.

Boyd is cursing his big mouth, but Max doesn't think it is the end of the world - he has patched things up with Sky before, he'll do it again...unless of course he doesn't want to...Max wants to know what Boyd's 'gut is telling him.' Boyd replies his gut is telling him it is over, and Max says to go with that, but Boyd worries that he'll never find someone as amazing to be around again. Max acknowledges that he'll certainly never find anyone the same as Sky again. Boyd wants to know if they are just meant to be together, but he guesses some time apart wouldn't hurt. Max says just to give it a go - see what happens.
Steph comes into the kitchen as Boyd is leaving. She gives Max a kiss and a hug and tells him he is a good Dad. Max wishes his own Dad would have been around to give him some advice - it might have saved a lot of heartache. Steph tells Max she has decided not to take the money.
MAX: Steph...
STEPH: No, Max, look - I was really excited when the offer was made, but I hadn't considered your feelings really.
MAX: Oh, I'm sorry you've got mixed up in all of this; I know it shouldn't have anything to do with you...
STEPH: Which is why I'm not accepting the money. Come on, I never want you to feel like you owe him anything.
MAX: You sure about this?
STEPH: You mean more to me than anything else in the world.
Aww.
Scarlet Bar
Susan has had a hard day, and orders a double-espresso off Bobby. He asks if she wants to tell him all about it - he is a barman!
SUSAN: I though you were an engineer...
BOBBY: I'm a man of many talents!
He says he has a very sympathetic ear, especially for such a beautiful woman.
SUSAN: You may come to regret those very outrageous words.
BOBBY: Do you like dancing?
Susan asks if he often succeeds in wooing women by so blatantly asking them out. He says he is only suggesting an innocent get together, but Susan feels he is faaar from innocent.
The Lingerie Party Host House...AKA Susan's
Sky and Sindi are getting ready for a lingerie party, and Sindi is saying that men are rats...No! Fleas on rats! And she is not going to give Stu any more of her time or attention. Sky says good for her, and she might have to do the same - she thinks things between her and Boyd are over. Sindi tells her to sit tight - guys always come crawling back...she just wishes Stu would hurry up! They don't have much time to dwell, as their guests arrive at the door - booking by Tabitha Tickles. Sindi opens the door to a bunch of....DRAG QUEENS!!! Tabitha Tickles apologises for their lateness daaarlinks - Kinky L'Amore got her mooas...mooma's...moowar's...something's...'down the bowl.' They introduce de giiiiirls, and ask if there is any Champagne. Tickles spots Sky and says she/he can see her parents were hippies, and how is she coping?
SKY: Ahh...getting there...
The Drag Queens are sooo exciiiited daaarlink! They have been looking forward to this, like, fooreeever daaaarlink!
Erinsborough High...The Dark and Mysterious Underworld
Carly's Ukulele-playing Yeti...WAIT! It *is* Lou - he is dressed up as Gromdillier (possibly...) the Grave, and is having a candlelit meeting to play D&D with the nerd kids, who are all dressed up as dwarfs and elves. They are talking about Uhh...how PennyTheElf thought LouTheSwordsman was on her side - she can't believe he turned against her! Her spell saved his life in the...ahh...cave thingo at some time or other. But LouTheSwordsman is evil...to man and elf. But PennyTheElf only has three hit points left and begs LouTheSwordsman to let her live...however he smites her (touches her with his big stick thing) and she is now on...ah...zero...Yes, Gromididdlydoo the Grave is officially a meanie-moo. They pack up and agree to meet same time next week. Yeah, I totally didn't get the randomness of that scene...
Number 26
Janelle the SpellingNazi is letting Summer out the door, but Bree doesn't want her to go - she helps her learn! (Code for: she doesn't want to be left alone with the mean green spelling machine) . Janelle says that they are too distracted - it's Guy Sebastian this, and Anthony Callea that! She opens the door again but Bree closes it. Janelle opens it again saying they can see each other tomorrow, and pushes Summer out. She starts to test Bree on her spelling again, but Bree is sick of it - she has been spelling non-stop for three hours! Lyn (and a toddling Oscar ) thinks a break might be a good idea. Bree runs after Summer before the SpellingNazi can change her mind. Janelle tells Lyn Bree will thank her when she wins the $15 000, but Lyn thinks she is being a little bit hard on her. Janelle doesn't think so - she says Bree is loving it! Lyn thinks that maybe Janelle should let Bree do this on her own, but Janelle replies that having a winner in the Timmins family is a rare thing, and she wants to be with Bree every step of the way.
Scarlet Bar
Bobby places another glass of champers in front of Suse, who asks if he is trying to seduce her. He replies that none of his pick-up lines work with her - she is a cut above. But Suse points out that there is a line right there. Bobby says she really doesn't give him much credit, does she? Suse says she knows his type to well. She goes on to describe his womanising characteristics - a sort of 'love 'em and leave 'em' type dude. Bobby says she's got him there. But he describes Suse's perfect man as someone pretty much dull and boring - someone stable, responsible, professional...yada yada yada.
SUSAN: Are you trying to say I've been waiting my whole life to meet someone like you?
BOBBY: Could be the change you're looking for...
SUSAN: What time do you knock off?
Tickles and Kinky's Underwear Part-ay...which has kinda flopped...
Sindi and Sky are vaguely describing a little black number, in a monotone and not-exciting voice. Tabitha Tickles tells them that the do is as dead as a doornail, and 'the parrot' (Dahl) has more personality than them. Sky remarks that's because 'the parrot' doesn't have man troubles. Tabitha says it is supposed to be fun, sexy - where's the music and the rest of the Champers daaarlink? Sindi says she knows they haven't been very exciting but...Tabitha is 'so over it sweetie.' Bums in the air, girlies, it's time to kick on. Sindi apologises, and says they are usually more fun than this, but...but...she bursts into tears. 'Tears!' Exclaims Lulu Trixibelle...or whatever his/her name was... 'give her space! Ok, *what's* the crisis?' Sindi replies that it is men. The gals ask why they didn't say so. 'Spill - start from the start, and don't leave out a *thing*.'
Daaaarlink.
Random Gambling Place
Bobby is playing...a dice game...and Susan is *totally* thrilled. He picks up that she isn't interested, and asks if she wants to go. She says she would rather be at home watching TV...she thought they were going dancing - gambling isn't really her thing. Bobby insists she pick somewhere to go, and she replies "You're asking me?" Bobby says he's the new boy in town, and it isn't a school night, so Susan hints that, weeell, there *is* this little Jazz Club on the corner...
Fifi Honolulu's Flopped Part-ay
Sindi says maybe they could try another time, but Tabitha says she would rather try her luck in a lingerie store, but seeing as they are all such close friends now, he tells her to stop acting like such a drag queen! Stu sounds like a dream boat - he just needed a spell in the doghouse - so enjoy the make up. What about Sky, sweetie? What about what she wants with Boyd? She doesn't really know, but she has to make the right decision - she already knows what that is....Kiss kiss - tata gals, it's been fun.
Ramsay Street
Bobby and Susan are just arriving home, gushing about how they stayed out all night, and the gorgeous sunrise. They reach Susan's front yard, but Bobby doesn't want it to end. Lou comes out to get his paper, and spots the, exclaiming 'you sly old dog.' That's rich coming from you, oh Swordsmanish Man of Cloaked Mystery!
Janelle comes riding down the drive of Number 26, stating 'healthy body, healthy mind' while Bree tells her she has lost it. Janelle tells Bree to spell 'subordination' - she will give her a clue, it starts with RUNNING! Bree groans and jogs off.
Susan's
Suse and Sunshine are dancing, until Suse knocks over a random prop put there to create a distraction and they decide they had better keep it quiet so they don't wake up Sindi and Lil. Bobby goes to kiss her, but when she pulls back, starts slow dancing with her - it's safer, you see (nudge, nudge, wink, wink). She offers him something to eat, but he is fine, so she pulls away using coffee as an excuse instead. She asks him how he has his coffee. Does he have milk? 2 sugars? Bobby says he thinks it is time she stopped asking so many questions, and pulls her in and kisses her. She starts to respond, but then pulls back saying it's just too wrong. Isn't it obvious? Izzy! Bobby says she has nothing to do with it, but Suse says it is really really weird. Bobby says he really likes her, and thought the feeling was mutual. Susan says she had a really, really great night, but...Bobby takes his cue and leaves.
Hoylands
Max is making coffee when Bobby comes in. He gives Bobby a look, but Bobby tells him not to start - he has already had enough rejection for one night. But Max doesn't want to know. But he does need a chat - Bobby has put Steph and him in a real bind. Bobby tells him to stop being so stubborn, and just to take the money, but Max says it isn't that simple. Bobby says although he knows why Max has a problem with him, he shouldn't let it get in the way of winning Steph's case. Max waggles his finger at Bobby and says if they do decide to accept the money, it doesn't change anything between them, but Bobby says he isn't trying to buy them out - he just has an opportunity to help and wants to take it.
MAX: Alright................................................................Thank you.
Bobby says he knows he wasn't the ideal father, but if he could change things he would. Max snipes that he would have to change an awful lot. Bobby says surely now he is a father he can understand the sacrifices he had to make to put money in their pocket.
MAX: When my kids go to sleep at night, they know that I'm still going to be here in the morning.
BOBBY: .....
Park
Boyd feels like if he and Sky have both done something wrong, they should be fighting like cat and dog, but they aren't. Sky says maybe they are past all that, but Boyd wants to know what that says about them - that they don't care anymore? they decide they still do care about each other, but things have changed. They can't believe they have headed in different directions...Boyd tries to change the topic by talking about the D&D nerds from the day before, but Sky wants to know if they can still laugh together - of course. And they can still be friends? How could they not be? Boyd just wants Sky to promise that she won't get together with Dylan - it'd kill him.
