The inquest has begun into why Jack doesn't want to return to play football. He tells them the pressure is too much for him and he hasn't got any real mates there to help him so he hopped on a plane to see his family in Erinsborough. Eventually they accept Jack's reasons and show their support of his decision.
No. 30
Toadie is trying to prove to Tad why he can't be guilty of the charge by playing a tape of the show.
No. 26
Joe and Lyn are discussing Jack's decision to come home. Lyn hopes Joe's own ambition is clouding his judgement, which of course he denies.
No. 30
They finish listening to the tape and Tad reckons he is in trouble, as Tad knows people who would take what Toadie said on the radio literally, plus the fact he will be up against an experience police prosecutor.
No. 26
Jack is telling everyone stories about a game he scored in for Barnsford. They wonder why he could give it up. Jack's coach telephones wanting a word.
No. 30
Toadie is moaning to Tad for playing loud music while he is trying to study for his case so he sets some ground rules for Tad to follow. Jess calls round to see Tad as her parents have kicked her out of the house. Tad wants to know what has happened and Jess says she got kicked out as she embarrassed her parents socially for lying about Susan. Tad tells her that her parents are weird so she asks him to help her. He says she can crash on the couch for the night and he'll wake her in the morning for school. Jess tells him she isn't going to school and encourages Tad to wag school too but he says he is going to school and pleads with her not to annoy Toadie.
No. 26
There is a major bathroom panic with the house being full and Flick comes out of the bathroom in a bad mood and threatens to kill Michelle's chickens. Woody wonders if it is always like and Jack says it's got worse this but Steph tells them he's just forgotten with being away for so long. Everyone leaves and Jack and Joe talk about what the future holds for him. Joe invites him to meet the boys at the worksite.
The school
Flick is telling Tad about Jack turning up and how she is glad he is back. Tad is worried about Jess and Flick says he's got enough on his plate already. Tad isn't sure what to do about Jess.
Building site
Joe is introducing his workmates to Jack but Jack is embarrassed about what his dad has been saying about him.
The Coffee Shop
Joe is telling Jack he's glad to have him home. Jack thinks he is angry about him quitting football but Joe reassures him that he'd boast about his boy anytime regardless of what he did and will respect whatever decision Jack makes regarding his future. Jack starts to open up about the reasons why he made his decision to come home.
No. 30
Jess is lounging about talking on the phone with the music on when Toadie comes in extremely annoyed. By coincidence Tad comes home for lunch and Toadie grabs him and tells him to get rid of Jess today if he wants to continue living at No. 30.
Tad goes into the kitchen and cuts off Jess' phonecall and asks why she isn't obeying the rules Toadie set. Jess tries to make a joke of it but Tad tells her politely to grow up and remove herself from No. 30 before he gets back from school.
Hair Salon
Flick comes round to pester Lyn about putting up some posters. Lyn agrees and asks her how she is feeling now about Joel. Flick tells her about Marcus and leaves.
Moco
Woody is helping Steph at work but he is still on edge about Kev Kelly's thread. They go to head home and Steph discovers her bike tyres have been slashed. Woody says someone has been watching them but Steph says he is jumping to conclusions.
No. 30
Tad comes home to find Jess has tidied up No. 30 in the hope she can stay there longer. Jess' father phones for her and Tad discovers that her dad didn't throw her out of the house and wants her to tell him the truth.
