Stephanie agrees to help Lance out with his student council election campaign. Along with payment, Michelle and Bianca find a gold bracelet labelled 'for Michelle' in the envelope slipped under the door of the scary house.
Stephanie, Lance, Felicity, Sean and his mate Steve all play in the pool at Number 30. Toadie watches Lance and Steph frolicking together and looks very jealous.
Michelle and Bianca head back to Number 26 and show her the bracelet. Lyn is very impressed with it but gets angry when Michelle tells her the full story. She shows her the envelope with the weird scribbling on it - 'Amicus Certus Im Imcerta Cermitur.' Lyn can't work out what it means. She decides that the following day they'll be taking the bracelet back.
Karl talks to one of the child patients at the hospital and gets her advice on what to do about Drew and Libby's wedding! He asks her how the preparations for her birthday party at the hospital are going and she tells him that it's going to be more of a freak show. Later, Karl talks to Bill on the phone to ask his advice about what the best CD to buy for a 12 year old is. Lyn comes over just after and Karl asks her if she'd do him a favour - help out the child at the hospital by doing her hair up really nicely.
Steph reckons Lance will represent the sensible, yet funky middle ground in the election campaign.
Back at Number 30, Lance and Toadie try to impress Steph with their new found knowledge of motorbikes. She's not picking up on the fact that they're both madly in love with her! Out at the pool, Sean invites Felicity out to the beach the following day and tells her that it will be just him and her. She'll have to bunk school but is more worried about her Dad than anything else. Later, when Sean leaves, Michelle overhears him and Felicity talking about the beach trip tomorrow. Afterwards, Michelle asks her why she can't just tell the truth for once.
The next morning, Michelle and Lyn head over to the scary house and Michelle goes up to the door on her own. She talks through the door when the occupant indicates he's listening by turning on the porch light. She tells him thank you, but she's really sorry because she can't accept his gift. She says that she doesn't want him to be offended because she really appreciates it. She also thanks him for playing the nice music. Lyn calls her back and Michelle wanders slowly off. Later, Bianca and Michelle discuss the house - Bianca thinks the man living there must be a real psychopath while Michelle is starting to feel a bit sorry for him.
Sean turns up at Number 26 and has Steve in tow. Flick isn't very pleased, especially when Steve heads straight for the fridge and knicks some of their stuff. She puts it back and they all head out. It turns out that Sean has invited 2 more of his friends as well.
Lyn does the girls hair at the hospital and she is really pleased with the result. I'm not really sure where this storyline is going, but children bought into a hospital storyline like this often seem to get complications during an operation and die - so the future's not looking too bright for young Phoebe! Anyway, back to the plot - Lyn takes the opportunity to ask Karl if he knows any Latin. She shows him the scribbling on the envelope and he roughly translates it as 'a friend in need is a friend indeed.'
The day at the beach proves even less exciting than Felicity anticipated. To make matters worse, Steve mentions that they're planning to stay the night at the beach - Sean tells Flick she can call her parents and tell them she's staying at a girlfriend's house. Felicity is not impressed. Then.... the car breaks down and they are left stranded on the side of the road.
Felicity gets angry with Sean about the way he's treating her - ignoring the fact that she doesn't want to stay the night and not worrying about her having to lie to her Dad again. She decides to go it alone and walks off down the long road on her own.
