Jane tells Bronwyn she needs to go and talk to Mike
Henry digs up a gun in Mrs Mangel's garden
Number 32 back yard
Bronwyn arrives and Henry hides the gun. Henry enquires how Mrs. Mangel is because he needs to talk to her about something. Bronwyn says she is still pretty shaky and suggests he wait a couple of days. Henry begins filling in the hole.
Ramsay Street
A removal van is parked outside No. 30. Helen says it looks like the Simpsons are moving out today as Harold and Madge arrive home with shopping. They wonder who their new neighbours will be. As Paul and Gail pull up in the car, Helen tells Madge that the IVF has been unsuccessful. Harold and Madge head indoors.
Helen tells Paul and Gail that she has tea and cake ready. Gail tries to be accepting about the IVF failure but is clearly disappointed and excuses herself.
Coffee Shop
Brownwyn finds Mike at work in the kitchen and wants to know what his problem with her is. Mike tells her he doesn't like the way she organizes Des and is trying to be best friends with Jane, because he never gets to see her any more. Bronwyn says looking after Des and Jamie is her job but she understands why they mean so much to him because Des took him in. Mike is angry that she has apparently been snooping into his past. Des arrives and overhears and asks Mike for an explanation but he says it is personal.
Number 24
Madge is unpacking the shopping and says she is still buying Charlene's favourite cereal. Henry enters and acts suspiciously when Harold questions why he has given up with the metal detector so soon.
The following morning, Scott enters his and Charlene's room wearing a towel around his waist and another on his head and comments that Henry didn't even make a joke about his appearance! Charlene is packing, ready to go and stay with Dan and Edna until the new house is ready. Charlene asks Scott if he's sure he can't come with her and Scott assures her that his staying behind is for the best.
Harold and Madge try to encourage Henry to persevere with the metal detector and don't realise they are making him nervous, especially when Harold says he hopes it doesn't turn up anything untoward!
Madge is in cleaning mode and ropes Henry into cleaning. To save time she hands Harold the neighbourly casserole she has made to be delivered to Paul and Gail.
HAROLD: What am I supposed to do with it?
MADGE: Oh Harold, don't tempt me!
Number 22
Gail is frustrated with Paul and Helen fussing over her because she's not sick. Harold arrives with the casserole and fusses over Gail. Paul tries to get rid of him as quickly as possible and he almost leaves with the casserole still in hand!
HAROLD: "Now don't thank me Paul. After all that is what a Christian neighbourhood is all about."
Lassiters Lake
Scott is having a drive of Charlene's new Mini. He thinks it will get her to Brisbane and not much further! Charlene wants to visit all the places that hold good memories for her. Scott sarcastically reminds her that this is where her caravan blew up and they nearly blew up with it! It's also where he kissed Jane!
CHARLENE: This is where everyone comes when they want to think.
Number 28
Des is doing Rocky and Bullwinkle impressions for Jamie who is in his playpen. Bronwyn comes in and tells Des about her problems with Mike. She doesn't want Des to say anything to him because he'll think she has gone behind his back, but Des doesn't want Bronwyn to resign. She says there's only one way to solve this...
Number 24
Madge is still cleaning as Henry asks if she thinks Mrs. Mangel is up to visitors yet. Madge teases him that he's only concerned about his pay because Mrs. Mangel is a customer.
Number 22
Des drops in on Paul and Gail with Jamie. Paul has some paperwork to go over with Des. Gail holds Jamie, and bursts into tears. After Des has left, Gail feels stupid. Paul says they will keep trying but Gail is scared of letting him down.
Ramsay Street
Mike pulls up on his bike and Bronwyn tells him she is double- booked and needs Mike to babysit Jamie on the night of Des' management course. Mike says he thought Jamie always came first. Bronwyn says perhaps she was overdoing it, and she hopes this will stop them going for each other's throats in front of Jamie. Bronwyn walks off, leaving Mike to think about it.
Number 24
Scott and Charlene sit down on their bed and Charlene says the most nostalgic place of all is the balcony where they first met. We are treated to a flashback of Scott mistaking Charlene for a burglar in her first appearance from episode 234. Charlene tells Scott he's lucky she wasn't a burger because he was too gentle!
Madge, still in manic cleaning mode, has gathered up Henry's laundry. Henry tries to stop her but it is too late. The gun drops to the floor. Madge picks it up and asks where this came from.
